In my unicorn-level-rare free time, I write and produce my blog, The Domestic Feminist. The blog is an inclusive, modern take on the typical blog commonly found on Pinterest. It is a place for a modern perspective on housekeeping, equal partnerships and the dying art of domestic skills like knitting, cooking, etc.
I took great care in developing the brand for The Domestic Feminist, aiming to be playful and approachable with a little bit of heat and fire. That spice is representative of the juxtaposition of name of the blog itself. The blog has a unique voice with a commitment to authenticity and transparency.
The site was built in Squarespace for flexibility and easy updating. The graphics and online presence extend to Pinterest, Instagram, and includes an email monthly marketing campaign using a customized MailChimp HTML Newsletter. I am very proud and pleased with the fact that The Domestic Feminist has empowered me to explore the relationship with great communication design, strong brand development/ownership and social media, as I have watched it grow into a small, vibrant community.
